Project Naya Savera, an inspiring CSR initiative by Indusind Bank, brought together a dedicated team of 10 Menstrual and Adolescent Health Educators/Mentors who wholeheartedly embraced the mission of empowering adolescent girls through menstrual health education. These educators served as catalysts for change, reaching out to 4000 school students and 1000 women and girls from underprivileged slum communities in New Delhi.
The project's impact reverberated through the corridors of 15 schools, including prominent institutions like Trilokpuri Vidhansabha, SKV (Janki Devi) Mayur Vihar Phase-1, GGSSS New Kondli, and many more. In these schools, the educators conducted 80 engaging workshops, where students found a safe space to discuss menstruation openly, debunk myths, and gain accurate knowledge about adolescent health.
Beyond the school gates, Project Naya Savera's influence extended to 8 marginalized communities, where 40 workshops provided essential menstrual health education to women and girls aged 13 to 45. These workshops addressed the challenges faced by these communities, promoting awareness, empowerment, and informed decision-making.
Together, the educators and their tireless efforts brought a deep and lasting impact on society. They not only educated the beneficiaries but also sparked a ripple effect of knowledge and change, transforming attitudes and breaking down barriers surrounding menstruation. Project Naya Savera stands as a shining example of how CSR initiatives can create a positive and transformative impact on communities, paving the way for a brighter and more empowered future for adolescent girls across the nation.
