Menstrual Health Awareness workshop at THDC India Ltd. (9th March 2021)

On the account of international women’s day, Sachhi Saheli organised a sensitization-cum-capacity building training workshop on 9th March 2021. The training workshop provided an opportunity to the beneficiaries to learn about their reproductive and menstrual health issues and aided in building their capacity to deal with hygiene related issues in a better and effective way. Dr. Surbhi Singh, along with Ms. Shahnaz Bano and Ms. Ila Srivastava took the session with 15 women. The interactive session also brought into discussion some daily life issues of beneficiaries relating to people’s mindsets, attitude and rituals.

A workshop series called Know your Body, Master your Mind was organised on following Topics and audiences:

On the 8th anniversary of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 on 9th December 2021, THDC Rishikesh organized a two-day workshop for their employees in various units on the same topic. The workshop was conducted and facilitated by Sachhi Saheli educators

The objective of the training was to orient and sensitize the THDC employees on what is considered as Sexual Harassment at Workplace and on the POSH Act as the redressal mechanism for the same. Bytheendoftheworkshop,theparticipants wouldbeableto:

• Identify gender issues at workplace
• Understand the concept of Sexual Harassment at Workplace
• Categorize & Identify Sexual Harassment at Workplace.
• Redressal Procedure and Mechanism
• Engender a safe environment at work place for all.

The program was organised by Mr.Veer Singh( GM- HR ), Ms. Vibha Choudhary (Chief Medical Officer) Ms.Priyanka ( Secretary ICC, Rishikesh ) Ms. Madhwi (ICC President Rishikesh) from THDC and facilitated by Dr. Surbhi Singh, Ms. Namita Bhura, Ms. Shahnaz Bano, Ms. Rikita Narula and Ms. Nisha Pandey from Sachhi Saheli.
