International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women's Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity.

Since Sachhi Saheli is an organisation that works primarily for upliftment of women and girls and create constant awareness on various issues related to their health, hygiene, status and dignity in the society. Therefore, on this special day we keep ourselves available to collaborate with our supporters & partners to provide them with technical help and assistance in organizing and implementing various welfare activities and celebrations.

some of them are as follows-

1) Women’s day celebration in 2018: Sachhi Saheli Conducted a “Menstrual Awareness Session” with support of District Commission for Protection of Child Rights at Patparganj, Delhi. Program was attended by around 100 women and girls from Community.

2) Women’s day celebration in 2019: Sachhi Saheli facilitated a ‘Gender Champions Conference’, organized by New Delhi Municipal Corporation at the NDMC convention Centre. The event was attended by pioneers from several fields working towards women welfare including Sachhi Saheli and Dr. Surbhi spoke to them about the importance of maintaining proper menstrual health and hygiene and also about sexual and reproductive health.

3) Women’s day celebration in 2020: On the 2 nd of March at the invitation of District Legal service authority, Sachhi Saheli conducted two different Awareness sessions on “Personal Menstrual Care”. First session was taken by Ms.Namita Bhura for female staff of class IV employees on scientific knowledge of menstruation, taboos, Usage & significance of various hygienic menstrual blood absorbents. while another Sensitization workshop was taken by Dr. Surbhi Singh, for the lawyers& Judges at Saket Court, Delhi.
