As online Sexual Harassment is all the more rampant now that a large part of our lives has moved on the web. Hence, with a motive to equip women with the weaponry of knowledge, with strength and with courage so that they can safely and cautiously navigate the world of internet, Sachhi Saheli in association with Jindal Stainless Foundation and Selfie with Daughter organized a webinar on ‘Combating Online SexualHarassment’ at 11:00 am on 11th October 2021 for celebrating International Girl Child’s Day 2021. The expert speakers for the event were Mr. Rakshit Tandon, the cyber security evangelist and Mr. Himanshu Sehlot, a legal expert from Delhi State Legal Services Authority. Ms. Rikita Narula was the moderator of the sessions and the audience for the session were young beneficiaries of Selfie with Daughter in Hisar (Haryana) and employees from JSL Foundation.

Expert Talk with Dr.Sameer Paraikh:

Ms. Shahnaz Bano, Moderator from Sachhi Saheli facilitated an exclusive talk with Dr. Sameer Paraikh (Psychologist, Fortis Hospital) on “Understanding Psychological aspects of the sexual harassment and dealing with trauma”.

Expert talk with Cyber Security expert Amit Dubey:

Another talk was held with Mr. Amit Dubey in which aspects of online sexual harassment, psychology of perpetrator and challenges of victims were discussed.
