Project Samvaad is basically a “Training Program for Govt. Educational and Vocational Guidance Counsellors (EVGCs)”supported by State Council for Educational Research and training (SCERT) and EVGC bureau.By this project selective counsellors are trained onAdolescent health, Reproductive & Menstrual health and hygiene issues.

This Project is one of the ongoing projects of Sachhi Saheli under which around 50 counsellorswere trained for 2 days by the experts, for which a particular module has been designed according to the trainee’s level of knowledge and understanding.

During these two days they learn core subjects and also undergo many exercises and activities based on attitude, communication and behavior. Therefore, through this training these counselors become more efficient to deal with the issues of their teenage students in more friendly and technical manner.

Students go through so many bodily changes throughout puberty and lack access to factually correct information around the same. They are instead burdened with taboos and stigmas around their ‘Sexual and Reproductive Health’. Having understood this, team Sachhi Saheli debunked myths around menstruation for over 350 ‘Educational and Vocational Guidance Counselors’ (EVGCs) at RPVV Civil Lines and DIET, Keshavpuram from 28th February 2022 to 10th March 2022 and equipped them with the correct knowledge about Menstrual Health and other changes related to adolescence so that they could effectively communicate with their students and educate them on how to manage their health and hygiene.
