Menstruation is a subject that is not so often discussed in regular life and strangely women barely discuss it in detail with each other. It was estimated that the same stands true for the female inmates in a jail. hence Sachhi Saheli decided to have conversation with jail inmates too and approached three different jails wherein following activities were carried out -

1. In 2016-17 Sachhi Saheli got its first opportunity to talk with a different group of beneficiaries that were female inmates of Tihad Jail. it was undeniably a delighting experience for team Sachhi Saheli as they were meeting a community that is separate from the normal world, and barely get any chance to talk and discuss such information about their body and menstrual health.

2. Once again, in year 2018, As a part of the campaign 'For Enhancing Legal Services to Women Inmates', initiated by National Legal Services Authority (NALSA)/DSLSA, Sachhi Saheli in collaboration with Delhi Legal State Authority (DLSA) (East) & (Shahdara) hosted an Awareness Program for female inmates on the topic "Menstrual Health and Hygiene’ at Central Jail No. 16, Mandoli, Delhi.

3. Eagerness to include most disadvantaged, gave Sachhi Saheli another opportunity In February 2020, hence on the occasion of Menstrual health & awareness day team Sachhi Saheli conducted an awareness session in Jail No 16 of Mandoli Jail Delhi. In this session approximate 150 female inmates were sensitized on Menstrual health, hygiene and Stigma attached to Menstruation.
